PFP sends a weekly delivery of fresh greens and herbs to shelter rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small mammals and reptiles at the Queens shelter. These nourishing foods not only improve their diets but also provide mental stimulation and encourage natural foraging behaviors. Your support helps ensure these animals receive nutrients to stay healthy and happy while they wait for their forever homes.
Monthly Toy & Treat Fund
Each month, PFP delivers packaged toys and treats to all three city shelters in Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. We need your support to keep this mission going! These essential items help keep dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs active and engaged while they wait for their forever homes and are vital to behavioral staffs working with animals who are scared or struggling to socialize. Your help makes a real difference!
The Max Fund
Max’s family established the fund in 2019 after seeing the difference our volunteer-made tug toys make for dogs in shelters. Honoring Max’s joyful spirit, the fund reflects their vision that every homeless dog entering a shelter will always have a tug toy to enjoy. These toys are not only a source of comfort but also provide much-needed stimulation to help the dogs remain physically and mentally engaged while they wait for their forever homes.
Kuranda® Bed Campaign for ACC (Animal Care Centers)
A Pillows for Paws ® campaign strove to provide a special Kuranda bed to every cat and dog in all three ACC shelters. Each dog, cat, and rabbit also received an appropriate toy and treat. Click here to see the Kuranda beds put to use.
